Political Cultures in Times of Crisis: Measuring the Effects of Liberal Values on Interstate Crisis Onset (Doctoral Dissertation)
This project, utilizes a mixed methods approach to analyzing the effect of democratic institutions and liberal political values on crisis onset in interstate dyads from 1972-2012. It finds significant support for the hypothesis that countries with differing levels of liberalism are more likely to experience crises in interstate relations.
The dissertation was defended and published in 2022. It is currently being adapted for submission and publication in academic journals.
